Research proposal: Reducing Risk in offshore operations - The learning effect of visualized work processes

​In my PhD work I participate in developing and implementing a digital learning program visualizing the complexity of the supply chain of an oil company. My research focus will be on how to reduce risk by the use of visualization. The concept risk is in this project used on accidents and how to reduce the possibilities for accidents by facilitating for learning through visualization (Hovden 2003). By visualisation I mean a digital presentation of complex information using pictures, film, 3D animation, sound and icons.​​
