Tidlig trygg i Trondheim er et forskningsprosjekt som identifiserer risiko- og
beskyttelsesfaktorer for utvikling av psykisk helse hos barn i et representativt
utvalg av 1000 fireåringer. Disse blir undersøkt på nytt annethvert år. ​


Formål
Målsetningen med Tidlig trygg i Trondheim er å identifisere risiko- og beskyttelsesfaktorer for utvikling av psykisk helse og psykososial utvikling hos barn med utgangspunkt i undersøkelser av et representativt utvalg av 1000 fireåringer. Disse blir undersøkt på nytt annethvert år.
 
Studien startet i 2006 og forventes å fortsette til deltakerne er unge voksne. Barn og foreldre blir intervjuet, foreldre fyller ut skjema om seg selv og barnet, genprøver innhentes, fysiologiske mål tas, og barnet i lek og i interaksjon med foreldrene filmes for deretter å kodes. Deltagelsesprosenten var 82 % ved første undersøkelse, mens den ved senere undersøkelser ligger rundt 90%.


Gjennomføring
  • T1: Første runde av undersøkelsen ble gjennomført i 2007-2009, da barna var 4 år gamle.
  • T2: Andre runde av undersøkelsen ble gjennomført  i 2009-2011, da barna gikk i 1. klasse.
  • T3: Tredje runde av undersøkelsen ble gjennomført  i 2011-2013, da barna gikk i 3. klasse.
  • T4: Fjerde runde av undersøkelsen ble gjennomført  i 2013-2015, da barna gikk i 5. klasse.
  • T5: Femte runde av undersøkelsen startet høsten 2015 og pågår fortsatt, barna går nå i 7. klasse.
